Patent & Trademark Office
Once you have filed your trade mark there are a number of things you must do to maintain your application or registration. It is your responsibility to meet deadlines. You may also wish to make limited changes as outlined below.
A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, and/or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of the goods of one party from those of others.
A patent is a limited duration property right relating to an invention.
The Renewal process looks as follows:
- You receive the Reminder from Patent Trademark Office
- You sign it and mail it back to us in the Reply Paid envelope provided
- We send you the invoice after we receive the signed Reminder from you
- Upon receipt of all the fees the trademark is renewed
All utility patents are subject to maintenance fees, which must be paid to maintain the patent in force.
Maintenance fees are due three times during the life of a patent.
